Bruhl Motorcycle Dryers. Comparison?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by comfysofa, Dec 2, 2018.

  1. Im beginning to think that i need one of these in my life....people who have them swear by them so im thinking ill order one...thing is there are a few in the range...obviously the bigger being the more powerful...but, is it a case of the biggest one drying the fastest (im all for ease and speed) - anyone done a comparison between the bottom and the top of the range and, has anyone got the top of the range one....

  2. i won't even mention pet driers

  3. I will, I got a pet dryer lat year and I've used it every single time I've washed a bike. I couldn't imagine not using it now, you wouldn't believe the amount of water they get out from nooks and crannies, especially the radiator area.

  4. There is a 20% discount with bykebits - SAVEME20 and they stock the 3 versions... I was going to buy one - but just bought a £40 pet dryer instead.. voucher is till Christmas I think...

  5. Get a pet dryer and save a few quid. I’ve used one at work for 4 or 5 years now. The auto ones are just rebranded and upped in cost. Think mine was about 45 quid.

  6. I got a good discount on Amazon for a Bruhl dryer a year or so ago. Great for drying off the wife's Monster after a wash and it gets rid of a remarkable amount of trapped water, that would otherwise go unnoticed.

  7. I have the same one (black) but the hose keeps coming out of the plastic fitting on the end of the hose.... I see some glue / silicone coming soon to fix it..

    Very Strong...

Also good for dusting around the house... we have dogs (St Bernard and Bulldog) and its great for blowing the hair from places so that you can vacuum them up... (Under cupboards etc..)

  8. Yeah - i did see the pet dryer....pet dryer is 2800w against the Bruhl one but the Bruhl one is literally twice the size....ill get the pet one if theres no difference but i Bruhl one is, as i say twice the size...

  9. Don't use it on your pets. o_O

  10. The big Bruhl has 2 fans but no heat except heat off the fans

The pet one is same size motor as the other 2 Bruhl ones plus more heat

  11. Not sure i understand? so....the pet one is the same as the bruhl?

  12. there are 3 Bruhl dryers in the range

    Lowest - Blower - no heat 1400W B
    Mid - Blower - With mild heat - 1400W B + 500W H
    High - Double blower - natural heat (cooling motors) 1400W B + 1400W B

The Pet one - is the same size motor as the mid Bruhl Dryer - but with 2 x the heating... 1400W B + 1000 W H

Numbers are from memory - but close...

    Hope it helps?

  13. Right....so....the Bruhl would effectively dry faster....pardon the pun "as it blows more"??

Im looking for speed...in that its a noisy thing so, the less time its on the better...

  14. I’ve got the double one £180 I think,it’s bloody loud make sure you get your earplugs in,works great tho I use for my business too

  15. The big Bruhl has a higher velocity air outlet than the Pet dryer and probably a higher flow.... BUT... it has less heat....

As its 3 to 4 x price... its your call... I came close for 3 days to buy the Bruhl... but could not justify the extra cash..... which is unusual for me.... as I like my toys and tools...

  16. Ah - right - what do you think then? as i say i dont want to waste money but, im a firm believer that you get what you pay for...

  17. WTF dude

  18. Yeah - me too....if i spend say 30 mins drying a bike with the pet jobbie and say...10 mins using the big bruhl model then over time its money well spent...or...if shudder to think i did the car...(an smax - so more of a time saving....)
