  1. I was just about to post this, your heading is too subtle!

It didn't do much for Husqvarna with the Nuda being immediately culled after they purchased them off BMW. Could they look to move immediate competitors in a certain direction to differentaite the brands?

  3. That’s all well and good but no indication as to whether VAG are interested in selling?

  4. Ktm are a brilliant forward thinking brand.
They don’t do cheap tat so hopefully would
Be good for Ducati. Good on em.

  5. They’ve still got that whopping great bill to pay for their emissions scandal. They would probably sell their grannies at the moment to make that go away

  6. Have you read the article?

“Back in 2011, Audi bought Ducati for 740 million euros. Now, with Ducati showing profits and becoming a major player in many different motorcycle segments, not only on sportbikes, it’s expected that KTM will need to spend much more than that amount to convince Audi to sell Ducati. In August, Volkswagen AG chief executive officer Herbert Diess said that “Either we find a way forward for Ducati, which provides some growth” and expand the brand, “or we have to look for a new ownership”. “

I think that tells you that they may be interested in selling!

  7. The last sale the workers members on the board blocked. I suspect they knew VAG was just looking to unload it to anyone just to get some cash to pay off the dieselgate compensation claims that were coming.

Another motorcycle manufacturer showing an interest, might give a lever for ducati to the same board to encourage a sale?

  9. Slightly worrying that KTM stopped making the RC8 because 'Sportsbikes are too dangerous for the road, so we won't make anymore'....

  10. Yet they make the Superduke 1290R

  11. He seems? to be saying that bikes such as the ducati v4, rsv4, bmw s1000 etc are now becoming so track focused that if ktm went that route also then it would be a waste and suits no real purpose for ktm?

  12. From his quotes, he's saying that KTM have a duty of care to their customers and 200BHP sports bikes are too dangerous for the road and so they will only sell them for the track.
If he becomes boss of Ducati then his view of care won't change.

Obviously I can't see him canning Ducati sports bikes, I just thought it amusing that he wants a renowned sports bike brand after airing his views and ceasing production of KTM road legal sports bikes.
