Best Memories Of 2018

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by its me, Dec 31, 2018.

  1. It's a hard one, after all it was 365 days
I will always remember finally tracing my maternal father. Unfortunatly he died in 1986. Apparently a good cricketer, I'm crap and hate it!

And not to forget collecting my supersport S..mmmmmm:motorcycleduc::motorcycleduc::heart:

  3. Saddest memory was my mum dying in March. However the good memories far outweigh that sadness.

My grandchildren bring me great joy at all times. They are incredibly funny and joyous without trying.

Biking wise, there were lots of great memories and great days with great friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my riding in Italy once again, and the trip to Scotland back in September was good too despite the weather.

  5. Bad times try not to let them become memories just forget them they’re in the past.
Good daughter got engaged and bought a house. Long hot summer of biking, highlight being B500 having done it a few times on a GS and GSA on a multistrada it was even better.

  6. Biking highlight for me was 400 miles in a weekend on the AJS 500 for the International West Kent Run. 30+ degrees and lots of country lanes with 400 other classics. Nearly killed us when the magneto advance stuck fully advanced though, 20 minutes kick starting in 30+C isn't a giggle.

Biking lowlight.....the 851 got sold....the right thing to do but.....

Non-biking, taking my daughter to Spain for a week, to school for her first day, to her first Panto and watching her first nativity are up there. All the "parenty" stuff that non-parents (used to be me) think is boring but matters when it's you.

  7. Being told I was in partial remission :)
Spending quality time with my kids
    The sunny weather
    My friends
Being able to go back to work

  9. Best weather tt for a long time.... Not a drop of rain in the whole fortnight.

Brilliant week riding in the French pyranees.

The long, hot summer.... Most miles I've done in one summer for many a year.

None biking.... A week as a pure tourist in Rome.... Loved it.

Worst memory.... 2018 was a tragically costly year for the road racing paddock

  10. Great holidays and trips especially SA, Botswana and Zim.

    The best Summer....ever!

  13. Trip to Italy for daughter's wedding, first fundraiser ride of the season on my Husqvarna amongst Harley riders, ending the season riding my Monster. High school trap and skeet team winning many trophies in Spring and Fall seasons. Getting my VW Atlas -it's awesome(missing my quirky Land Rover though). Fixing dinner for 22 family members and friends at Thanksgiving. Love having people visit.
