Dear Ducati Deirdre Just passed my test (December 2018) and being impetuous and spontaneously impatient I bought the same week and have been on my 2004 Monster 620i.e. pretty much every time it doesn’t rain and I’M BLOODY LOVING IT!!! Lots to adjust to having spent a lifetime in a 4 wheel box but being a cyclist has given me a deep mistrust of anyone whose chest is 4 inches from their steering wheel, is wearing a hat on the way to church, is jawing on the phone (including handfree and blue tooth), is in a while van wiv ‘is mates, drives a mini (you know, the BMW one S Cooper thing), has pulled out of MaccieD’s with fries on their lap, is drinking red bull, works for Uber, drives a hybrid or Range Rovery girl version but’s a bloke, named their first child Eliza. Anyway. Love the nakedness of the Monster but ready to move to oil-cooled 700-900 range. Am I having a mid life crisis or will I feel more fulfilled?
Welcome, you will feel way more fulfilled, the 620`s are nice but if you can stretch to the bigger 900-1100 engine bikes you`ll be giggling to yourself nonstop every time you ride .
Just can’t stop looking at the Diavel. She’s like a mistress you feel you shouldn’t have. All curves with a perfect ass. Anyone ridden/owns one?
Live it & love it! Get some good riding (clothing) gear. And remember the four T's; Taxi's, tipper lorries, twats & tits these are the demons that can cause no end of issues.
Sound advice GZBZ. I’ve got the unflattering tex gear with armour. Looking for the Spring Collection. Maybe leather jacket with armoured jeans is the way forward

Hello and welcome dude... I have a 620ie as my town bike.. fantastic thing for around London. Only bought it because it was real cheap ( I was actually looking for maybe a scooter!) But I'm really glad I bought it... That said, if you like the 620 you will LOVE it bigger brothers as the 620 is not a patch when it comes to the feel of something like the 900... no disrespect to the lil duke at all but definitely get ya arse on a bigger one for the real feel..
