I do wonder how many got fed up with the ads taking over half the page, and making surfing on a small screen barely possible. So just stopped coming.
I was/am concerned for his well being hence my thread. As he hadn’t posted for awhile I was worried. Then when I saw his profile had gone and most of his posts I thought, ‘oh no, not another’. I can’t believe he got pi££Ed off, I reckon he was unpi££offable and I admire him for that.
You can still find @bootsam on the members list but when you try to find out about it you get this. I tell you, this all the fault of Brexit. Anyone slightly overseasish is going.
And most forums are free. Its changed with the new platform, and made a non-subscribers experience considerable worse. Not everyone wants to subscribe nor feel the need.
Fair enough. But looking at the shite @El Toro had to deal with and the amount of his time it must have taken to continually read/administer the posts. I’m for the administrator(s) getting something for their troubles, so I’d happily pay a fiver.
They dont, its to run the site. I'm not saying its expensive or not worth it, just that many dont see the same value
