Mmmmm, I see they have an outrigger on the front shock mount on the race bikes

 

Incredible piece of machinery but too much electronics for my personal taste, still a track bike and a half though.

A bracket to stop the shock mounting bolt shearing as some of the road bikes did...

 

Ahhh I see... yes as shown here alot stronger mount point.

I’m a bit confused here but I’m no 999 expert.. I’m guessing there’s a few variants of the 999R but, why do some 999R mlodels have a red frame while others are charcoal grey and most 999Rs have nag cam covers yet yours does not?

Original 2003 model had silver frame and ally cam covers - later models had red frame with mag cam covers and deep black fabricated swing arm.
