Hi, don't suppose anybody has a 998s (2002) manual? Can't find one on the usual resources, and need to reassemble the leaf spring back in the right way. any help appreciated. thanks, pete
Andy - mk2 is my era (my first car was a 1976 1.1 pop plus with drum brakes all around, fond memories). Denzil - is the calliper spring, thanks. Just been on the lash with my brother so will have a go in the morning. Neil emailed a pic of the assy, so with your pic and Neil's pic I should get it back in the right way around. Cheers folks (Andy's p*** take as usual included) help much appreciated, Pete
When I was an apprentice at Ford's Dag. We used to have the museum in our building with the 1970 car FEV 1H. It had been restored. Wish I had all the photo's to hand. I went on to be a development/prototype driver, evaluating the engines after I had built them, then torn them down again. Even used to take them round the Boreham test track. Working out of Dag, I visited Dunton, Aveley and many other Ford plants in this country and others. Aveley was the home of the RS (AVO) for many years. With Boreham being the motorsport development base. The RS200 and Cosworth Sierra's were in development when I started there.
