Rained here for 24 hours. Still raining now. I was hoping it would at least wash all that 'orrible salt off the roads and once the sun comes out....... However, looks like it is going to get colder & snow is likely. Forecast for the rest of the month is really poor. Tax was due on the bike at the end of Feb. Decided to SORN it. Bugger!
Oh yes! Well known for my sunny disposition and positive outlook. Think of the money we'll save by not putting petrol in our bikes. Up yours chancellor Osborne!
Well its no better up here, max 2 degrees and light rain/sleet, jeez, bike all serviced up and ready to rock but the roads are salted to fcuk and I'm sorry but riding in these conditions does not blow my skirt up!!!!! Seriously thinking about buying a "thumper" as a hack cos it seems the riding "season" is now possibly 3 months....bollox off to polish me rockers...
Nice day here and tomorrow is meant to be nicer. Charged up bike a couple of days ago, and thought I might warm it up (it hasn't turned over for about 4 months or so). Multiple attempts got it to cough a bit, but that was it. Assumed it has drained battery. So plugged in charger and will see it I can get it fired up tomorrow. Normally I have to take it down the hill and bump start it at the beginning of a season, so this is nothing unusual. I'm really not looking forward to the return of the snow for the end of the week. I want spring now. I am in a spring mood. Bugger.
As tempting as it is to say you've spelt his name wrong BRD I'll refrain!! Two across, four letters, .........
Saw that too Really thought that was the end of the bad stuff, ho hum. On the plus side, been meaning to go ripe bananas on the bike with soap and polish ready for the good weather. Seems like now might be a good time! Just out of interest, stripping the fairing and exhausts off an 848....how easy is it?
I'm still drying out my gear ... I obviously did not Nik wax my jacket enough ... After a few hours yesterday riding in white squall I eventually soaked to my skin all clothing except lower half. Then the rain was getting up into my lid .the inside of my helmet is soaked ! My jacket weighed so much it was waterlogged when I got home I thought jeez how much has it soaked up and how much does it now weigh ? 4 stone !!!!!!!! I was gobsmacked lol!! It's still dripping.
really easy. For the cans it's just the bolts on the straps and retaining springs. The fairings is just takes time unscrewing all the fasteners. Beware, if its the first time they've been off go easy. If they're tight it's easy to round off the heads or the rubber well nut just spins.
There are some sunny spells forecast for the rest of the week but night time temperature will be below freezing so salt will continue to be an issue unfortunately.
It is barely 18th and you already written off march, that is fast. Especially that BBC weather forecast is showing 10C during the day towards end of week, next week even 13 with slight rain. Seems good start on the way to 15 on 29th
I've a new (to me - 2011) Multistrada sitting inside waiting for me to ride it for the first time (rode the demonstrator but not mine yet) - poor forecast here, so I'm waiting to see how the month goes before I even tax it! Still, it'll give me the chance to treat it with ACF50 whilst it's still shiny-new(-ish)
Just been out for a Thai takeaway and the roads here are white! No sign of the gritters and v v slippery! Hopefully better weather by the end of the week as may be heading to Blackburn to look at a car and hopefully meet up with El T, Duke1276 and Pixie!
