1200 Screen Adjuster Fitting : 4-hole Screen

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Mark_h, Mar 22, 2019.

  1. Folks, Just had my set of screen adjusters turn up. I know people have used these in the past with some success. With the 4 hole set you have 4 off-set spacers which mean you can effectively fit them pointing up or pointing down. If you fit then pointing down you get the gap and adjust the angle but get no additional screen height. If you fit them pointing up you get the air gap, angle and a bit more height but a gap at the bottom of the screen. Logic would suggest pointing up is the way to go. Anyone tried both ways and able to make a recommendation one way or the other?

  2. Not sure, on the '15> 1200 and the 1260, with only three holes, the single bottom spacer doesn't have an offset, the top spacers only fit pointing slightly upwards but mostly inwards due to the curvature of the screen.

  3. Thanks for this. The 4 hole version has 4 offset ones like your top two so two options to fit high or low. High seems sensible but was hoping someone else had done the experimentation.

  4. Have you tried to fit the spacers yet or have you just offered them up to the bike? You might find that the offset is, like the ones on my bike, to account for the shape of the screen and there won't really be much at all in the way of an 'up' or 'down' option once you've tightened the fixings as the offset will be across the screen.

Maybe I should have said that first time around... o_O

  5. Yep. Fits fine both ways just not had the chance to go out for a ride to see which works best yet.

  6. The ebay picture shows them up which is the way I fitted them. Same way as the pic above but for all four. Have yet to see if they make any difference on a mot orway.
