I am going to buy Rizoma Reverse Retro mirrors for my Monster 821. For that I will also need other bar ends. Does anyone know the difference between the Rizoma bar ends MA534 and MA434? They appear to be almost identical on the Rizoma website. I have some reverse retro mirrors in satin silver for sale on the forum if you’re interested, almost as new. Sure the adapters I had were MA433A just to confuse things....
Not interested in your mirrors, sorry. But the MA433A also has a twin counterpart: MA533A My confusion remains...
I think you will find that 534 is handlebar diameter specific and 434 will fit any size diameter handlebar. I just bought bar ends for the Scrambler which look identical to 534 and the rubber has limited expansion. The all metal universal gives you a much bigger movement. Andy
Thanks, also got help from Rizoma: The 433 and 434 have better grip, so you have to use those if you want bar end mirrors. Why anyone would want to buy the 533 or 534 is beyond me, cause they have a poorer fit but are more expensive. I found out something interesting tho: in the manual it says you should screw in the handlebar end at 12-14 Nm. I fitted mine at 12 Nm, but noticed my gaslever did not close automatically anymore when I released it. There was some space between the gaslever and the bar end, but apparently 12 Nm is enough to deform the handlebar so it interferes with the gaslever. Luckily there was no permanent deformation, I unscrewed the bar end a little bit and now the gaslever works fine.
