848 Bike Security

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Ash Hussain, Mar 16, 2019.

  1. Park a ruddy great Saab right up to garage door. Good luck moving that even if you break into car. I also fit camera in garage with sensor for movement, which alerts my phone. I work 2mins from home, which is nice. I can gaze upon my bikes loveliness from afar. Careful placing spanners precariously on the edge there, as they fall during the night and phone goes off and you end up running to garage in yer pants with a hammer at 2am.

Bikes are chained to anchor and neighbours are like eagle eyed busybodies, we all look after each other. Be good to your neighbours.

  2. Wouldn’t you then be giving them a 50/50 chance of getting it right (if you didn’t have a sticker)? Right being you not having a BikeTrac, so their gamble paid off.
Having a sticker gives them no chance of getting it right (stealing a bike with no BikeTrac).

  3. Decent neighbours are definitely one of your best security assets, always feel safer knowing they're at home while I'm out at work or away.

  4. Our neighbours and residents are all very watchful a good thing these days. Thiers 8-10 ready to offer assistance. As the local bobbies are useless.

Many thanks for all your input, great forum and members

  5. Know that feeling lived in Australia for 43 years you could go out leave house unlocked, car in drive or bike with the keys. And nobody would touch, trouble is the UK is full of criminals. And too much inequality

  6. It's worth mentioning that the ruling class is the biggest criminals in the UK. With trust funds & of course running the largest tax-havens going.

  7. I thought that was just the house of commons.

  8. Sure is, just look at the mess UK is in at the moment. Couldn't organise a pi## up in a brewery LOL

  9. I pop in here infrequently but still notice that every post of yours that I have read relates to bloomin social justice no matter what the original topic.

Bang on about it by all means but please create your own separate thread. I have enough trouble steering clear of politics in every bloomin media that there is.

    Thank you
