HiD Kit...

  1. Haven't tried that particular kit but have got HIDs in a 1098. They are pretty awesome especially as the 1098 had shit lighting as standard. HIDs normally come in 35W or 55W, I have 55s in the 1098 but 35 will still offer a massive improvement. Personally with 35W I'd prefer 5K color, as 6K would be a little too much blue I think about 4.2 Ks is pure white. As you go higher color temp more blue but less light.

If installed with care you should be able to disconnect easily and plug in an original Halogen if you need to. You might need to open up any boots or seals in the headlamp module to allow the plugs through, but apart from that a fairly straight forward install.

Is the dip one lamp on with Hi just switching on the other light? If so then you can install to both lamps, there is a short delay strike time, but with mine which are now 3-4 years old it comes on pretty quick so quick that you can use the flash but I'd steer clear of using them if changing from dip to Hi could leave you in the dark. Some people put a HID on dip and use keep a Halogen for Hi.

Bulb life is longer (but a lot more expensive) with bulb life being a function of starts rather than hours. My experience with them to date is all good

  3. I fitted a HID kit to my ST4s - low beam only - super - would not want to go back to filament lamp.
Only real problem fitting is where to put the ballast - but I managed to find space:smile:
