Contacting Ducati Uk Rergarding Nox Emissions G/km

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Deadman, Apr 9, 2019.

  1. Hi, not been on the site for ages and for some reason I keep getting pop ups on my mobile so can't read the threads on the ULEZ zone properly :(

Does anyone have the current Ducati UK email address?

I'm trying to find the NOx emissions g/km for the following motorbikes, but have not heard anything back when I submitted a request on the Ducati website which seems to put all enquiries through Italy.

    2002 Ducati 998s Bostrom rep
    2004 Ducati 749r
    2007 Ducati1098s

  2. There’s a thread in Ducati general discussion, titled London emissions Zone, or similar.

I called them today and have booked in my 1998 916 for NOx testing, if below the TFL threshold they inform TFL and my bike will be exempt. I asked what the likelihood was for a 20 year old bike and they told me they have yet to find a bike that hasn’t passed!
    So fingers crossed ....

  4. @Shorty4045 Defijitely looking forward to your test outcome! When are you booked in?

  5. Monday 29th April ...

  6. Got a slot today .. first reading was 0.16g/km vs 0.15 and so a fail, but you can make adjustments and try again so taped up one of the air intakes which reduced the NOx to 0.09 g/km which is a pass.
They will inform TFL who then confirm to me in writing that my bike is now ULEZ exempt :)

  7. Great news... was the exhaust the standard one or a termi half/full upgrade?

  9. Got a reply that looks promising from Ducati, although it will cost £50 per bike...

‘Thank you for contacting Ducati Customer Services.

TFL do require that we issue you the appropriate documentation for the ULEZ regulation rather than simply providing you with an answer if your bikes comply with the ULEZ regulation or not.

I will seek out your bikes COCs and check they meet the requirements, if they do I can issue them to you at a admin fee charge of £50 per COC. One of your bikes the 998s due to the age may not state the NOx value on the COC, in this instance I will request our Homologation Department in Italy to create a declaration for you so that you can submit it to TFL, there will be no charge for this.

We will issue you with your required documents as soon as possible, we cannot confirm a completion date for this unfortunately due to the high volumes of requesst that we have been receiving. If you do require urgent assistance please take your bikes to a TFL testing station where they will carry out tests on your bikes to process your ULEZ enquiry, please ask TFL for more details on this.

Please reply to this email advising on how you wish to proceed, if you wish for us to proceed with your enquiry’
