1299 Headstock Lifter

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by 749er, Apr 14, 2019.

  1. hi
    Back to this again

Last year I tried Harris, which scratched the bejesus out of my front guard and would only let you access to the front axle by turning the bars off centre

Constands - which lifted the front via the fairings, so not good.

Anyone tried one that works as it should

  2. IME all the headstock stands I have used mean turning the steering to access the front spindle. May be worth looking at gtec fabrications (think that’s the name?) on FB as theirs look a bit different and he makes them himself so may be able to adjust for you

  3. The Geetech stand is perfect.

You can access the axle without turning the wheel and it’s free from the fairings.

I have mailed him and called twice and no reply. Between that and the three week lead time I hear about you have to question the sanity of his business model. How many sales is he missing due to a three week lead time on something that can a only take a few hours to make.

    Cut tube
    Bend tube
    Drill tube
    Weld tube

    Repeat

  4. To be fair, his stands are hand built and really high quality. He's swamped with orders and from what I can gather he's just a one man band. You do pay a premium for them right enough

  5. Exactly, maybe he should hire some staff and increase his turnover

  6. I have his peg stands ( Geetech) and also a front lifter.
Great quality, but service could be better, but to be fair i think he is running this as a sideline, so he gets my respect for getting this far.
I find hitting up on facebook messenger always gets a reasonably quick response.. stick with it ..

  7. I will try Messenger again.

  8. Have a look at the FG gubellini stuff. Not cheap but quality.

  10. You'll be very lucky to get a geetech one in three weeks in my experience. Doesn't mean they're not beautiful and worth the wait of course...

  11. I think you are right

  12. Have you looked at Pitbull stuff?

  13. Looks good

  14. I have a contact email for a Swedish stockist if you fancy ordering anything.

  15. Cool.

    I could not find a U.K. distributor

  16. Spoke to George at/of Pitbull in the USA a while back. He used to have a UK distributor but alas no more. So Joytime is your only hope; not cheap to import from them (or USA) but seem to be a well made piece of kit.
I asked my local Infinity store if they’d pass on George’s details to head office with a view to bringing them to the UK. No word yet. If more people asked Infinity maybe they’d have a look!
