C/f Full Tank Cover?

  1. Does anyone know of anyone who makes these for 748/9*6?

I found an obsolete link but otherwise only for Jap bikes such as this one for a ZX10 (158 Euro).

  2. There is a recent link in a post on the Panigale V4 section for a company that make extended tank covers to keep your bum from sliding forward under braking. Don’t know if they do full covers but worth a search. Andy

  3. Why put a CF cover on? Just curious.
CF is used to reduce weight, not add. It's also used to add bling I know but IMO a complete CF cover for the fuel tank is a bit OTT, a bit Kim Kardashian, and there's a lot of tank to cover on a 748/916. If it were me, I'd save the money for something more performance orientated be it weight saving or power increase, or better still a dyno run and ECU remap to make sure I'm getting the most from what I have.
Just my two pence worth - no offence meant, everyone has their own tastes. :)

  4. I am stowing all the OEM fairings and using an ABS kit so that they are out of the path of my at times spirited riding style. I can put them back on obviously at any time. The kit (as expected) is a few shades lighter than ducati yellow so the juxtaposition between it and the tank is very obvious. Otherwise I have been pleasantly surprised at its fit and paint finish.

So the idea is simply to cover the tank for the foreseeable future in something that has a sportbike look and one of these would do the job. I don't want to go to the hassle and expense of getting a 2nd hand tank and getting it sprayed. Any suggestions welcome.:)

  7. Or you could buy a Baglux tank cover in yellow and then have the ability to fit a great big tank bag when you go touring Europe

  8. Yesss ... although there is a slight price discrepancy between cover and tank!

  9. Touring Europe on a 748R
