Tank Grips Anyone?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Stef, May 6, 2019.

  1. Hello everyone! I hope you all are well.

    Just a question: does anyone use tank grips on their bikes? I have a 1299 and sometimes I find the tank quite slippery, and can't grip on it properly.

    I was having a look at these https://www.eazi-grip.com/shop/eazi...-ducati-1199-panigale-clear-2011-current-2-2/

    Can anyone recommend any others? I've read that R&G are a bit rubbish, and I'd quite like something that looks half decent and doesn't leave me in my underpants because it's shredding leathers/trousers.

    Any tip?

    Thank you all!

  2. I have the R&G on an 848. They work fine on the road for me.

  3. The ones you link to with the round knobbly circles in clear or Stomp grips are the best ones.

  4. Stompgrip r best. R&G kept unsticking in places. I tried the latter twice, now on stomps.

  5. Stompgrip gets my vote also

  6. Thank you all! What I was intrigued by from the ones I posted the link of, is the little pieces that go on the fairing. By the look of it, it might look like that's where my knee would be when braking. I'm quite short (5'7"ish) and I'm not sure my knee would grip "that high up" on the tank with the stompgrip. Also, just checking, you mean these? https://www.crcfairings.co.uk/stomp...perleggera--1299s---streetbike-kit-2356-p.asp

    Silly question: has anyone got any pics with them on? I can't decide, if I go for those, whether to have them black or clear...

    Oh god I'm such a w***er :joy::joy:
