I just picked this up last night, it is a 1997 bike, one owner from new and just 9500 miles so barely used. Nice condition but by no means immaculate and the engine needs a good clean. I had one of these from new in 1991 and stupidly sold it after 8 years, then I got a superlight a few years ago but had to sell that when a few quid short when moving house. Providing it is as comfortable to ride as I remember I hope to keep this one for a good while. I`m not riding it till it has had a belt service and thorough check over but I did a cheeky figure of 8 or two around the yard at work, the engine seems good but the feel of the front through the bars was horrible, the proverbial knife edge. Hopefully to be sorted with a new tyre. More pics to follow after the service when I get it home and has anyone got a nice exhaust system that will fit ? I`m not a brand snob so does not need to be Termi, happy enough with Acme . I`ll post in the wanted section.
You lucky boy with one owner & low mileage,i have looked at a 900FE,way too expensive and two 900SL's now and getting frustrated
Congrats, when I got mine it felt that way, new tyres and getting used to it cured that, (at low speed you don’t need any handlebar input, just lean and it will turn).
