1200 DVT Larger Enduro Footrests

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Twin4me, May 8, 2019.

  1. Am I right in thinking the standard Enduro ones will fit a DVT?
Just thinking it be might be more comfortable on long runs.
And the touratech ones don't have rubber inserts?

Anyone got a pair for sale?

  2. Thanks - how much bigger are they than the standard ones?
Any problems with them touching down?

These aren't the ones that offer adjustment, just a straight replacement?

  3. I'm not with the bike at the moment so can't measure but of the top of my head about at least 50% plus bigger. You will notice the difference especially if you stand on the pegs at all.

    No problems with touching down.

  4. I put a set of Enduro pegs on my 2017 DVT with no issues. Slotted straight on and were brilliant. Much better than standard for standing up. Sadly bike got pinched and I haven’t got around to buying another set for my 2018 DVT.

Do you find any issues with reaching the gear lever and brake?
I had a pair of Gilles adjustable footrests on my previous bike but I found I had to turn my toe in to change gear.
From the pictures it looks like they add a fair bit of width before you get to the actual footrest part.

  6. I fitted my new Multistrada Enduro footrests today and when I removed the RH side I discovered it was broken!
I suspect this was probably when I dropped it last year in Sardinia. Quite glad I changed them now. IMG_5881.JPG

  8. I was told the enduro ones wouldn't fit a DVT so I bought the Touratech versions

  9. Some else mentioned this on a thread & I've bookmarked it.

    Brake enlarger

I'm going to leave it but its for the rear brake, sorry!

  10. that might have been me, but i can't confirm if they too fit. i had a look while i was at the dealer and it looked like they would. but then I bought touratech ones online with a 25% voucher from the dealer and a £20 voucher from PayPal :)

  11. I can confirm they fit the DVT but I’ve yet to go for a test ride.

  12. Got the Touratech ones, they're a good price at the moment. They're not inclusive of rubber inserts... doesn't make that much of a difference. Seem quite substantial and make the bike nice and flicky.

  13. Might as well plonk this on here as this thread is what sparked me looking into my old threads. Found a universal engine bar foot-pegs & took a punt that they might be useful too me.

They don't come with nyloc nuts but standard ones so I'll swap them out asp. They are of fairly poor quality material but heyhoo in for a penny, in for a pound. Cost close to €40 with shipping & tax added.

  15. If I’m not mistaken Jamie, the pillion footrests have the same fitting.

Can you produce an adjustable adapter for the pillion?

  16. GunZenBomz, it looks like your new additions slant forward & down. I would be interested to hear how successful they are on the move, or whether your feet slip off.

  17. @John W They really need to be on a lowered length of pipe. Right now they are for momentary tips of the inside of the boots rest sessions. Maybe I'll come across some clamps & make another mounting position. But its a bit of fun'
