  12. The Montjuich replica is coming along slowly but still moving along. I decided to use a Marzocchi M1R front end and 16'' Oscam wheels to make it look more like the real thing. Since I am to cheap to buy the Ducati M1R forks I purchased the BMW units instead. This necessitated getting new wheel bearings to adapt the Oscams to the new fork's 25mm axle. Now I am going to have to do the same to fit the 16'' wheel to the rear swingarm. I also had to purchase an aluminium swing arm to replace the 800 SS's steel one. The decision was made to use a new frame (which I already have) and paint it red. I ordered adapters so I can use the Brembo four pot brakes on the BMW Marzocchi. When the rear bearings and the brake adapters arrive I need to figure out how to get a title for the new, never stamped, frame. After that, the fun really starts.........

  13. I have two yellow ones. The other is a 97' 900 SS/CR with full fairing. It has been painted VW Chrome Yellow instead of the Fly Yellow of Ducati and I added the 91-92 factory graphics because I really like them. Here is a pic before the decals were added.....

  14. Funny story about this bike. It was purchased from a good-ole'-boy in the wilds of West Virginia for very little money. The Duc was in terrible shape with all four cylinder studs broken on the front cylinder and a couple broken on the rear. Shockingly, it still ran.The paint was awful and it had sat outside for a while. Upon arriving at his trailer where he lived with his wife and two small (under three or four years old) children he asked if my Husky ,who was waiting in the truck, was part wolf. I laughed and said no he is just a pure bred Husky. He commented that he had a real wolf living with him and his family. Now, being from Kentucky, I have been told several times by different people that they owned a wolf or wolf hybrid. In each instance the "wolf" was just a big dog, usually a German Shepherd or Husky mix. Being the curious type of guy, I asked to see this "so called" wolf. He said she was still young (6 months) and wasn't fully grown. Thinking to myself, here we go again with the wolf stories I told him to bring her out. He went back into the trailer and came back with an monstrous, half grown, honest to God, wolf. It must have weighted well over 130 pounds and only a pup. It's head was the size of a pony's with a huge snout and very large teeth. It's eyes were almond with the wildest look I have ever seen. It looked just like all the pictures I had seen of a wolf. Needless to say....... I was astounded. I left there wondering what would happen to those little children when that wild animal became full grown with all the power and primal hunting instincts of a wolf...........
