  11. How's it going Chris?

I suggest you take heed of chest pains, always best to play safe. Any swelling, tenderness or discolouration of the skin anywhere? Hospital is the best place, because the doctors there should know to start treatment if there is any suspicion of Deep Vein Thrombosis in order to decrease the risk of a Pulmonary Embolism.

  12. Chris, I have had 2 DVTs . No question, go to A&E.
    Dave.

  13. I had a collapsed lung once ( spontaneous Pneumothorax ) Called the doctor as I was in agony, doc arrived, examined me and said it's probably nothing serious, take some paracetamol.

About an hour later after my girlfriend phoned the ambulance as I was in so much pain I was admitted to hospital and suffered the indignity of watching a surgeon trying to cut through my chest wall with a scalpel to insert a chest drain. Despite two of them having a good old stab at me, they couldn't cut through the chest muscle, so said we will have to wait till tomorrow and give it a go from the back.

    FFS!

  14. Thank you for all the concern I appreciate it. Sorry if I sounded abrupt John, I hadn't slept for 40 odd hours but no excuse. Chest pains gone but leg problem persists.

  15. Chris go back to GP today !!!!!
