This one is much more terrifying: I ride motorcycles every year in India, and have often ridden though Tiger sanctuarys, never seen a single sighting of one as I have reasoned as soon as they hear the bike they bugger off. Now I have seen your video I shall add this to my long list of things I'm phobic about.-Don't even mention the snakes!
I don't know if it would be the right thing to do or the absolutely wrong thing to do, but my instinct would be to clutch in, bounce it off the limiter to hopefully scare them slightly, then gun it. If it fails, at least you went out pulling a wheelie
You wouldn't stand a chance of outrunning a Tiger from a standing start JH, especially if you were on an Enfield.
I was wondering why the car driver was preferring to film rather than drive down and assist. Hmm, spend 2p of petrol or get £200 for funniest home videos
You old cynic Jh. I'd take a guess that the car driver was in the Tiger sanctuary hoping to see Tigers. When they saw the motorbike and the Tigers they didn't know what the best course of action to take. Possibly startling the Tigers might have instigated an attack so they held back with the engine off. When things looked as if they might develop into an attack, the driver moved into action. I think they all did exactly the right thing by not panicking. If I had been in the same situation my jam tart would have stopped'
As long as you don’t break the shape the tiger probably doesn’t recognise the bike as food... ? Break the shape and tiger sees a person and that would probably be a very different outcome. Had experience of this on safari a few years back when I leaned over the back of the landrover we were in to take a pic of a lion, it went from full kitty cat (had just killed and eaten) to “very interested” in the blink of an eye.
