Noticed what looked like cameras on lamps on the A16, and an occasional gantry (in Germany too!) with what looked like small cameras plus lots of other sensor-type boxes next to them. Quick internet search didn’t answer the questions...speed cameras and/or just traffic flow cameras? If the first, I may have a few in the post...
i guess its the Toll or 'Maut' equipment you are referring to? if thats the case it is used to track HGV traffic for billing purposes, and will probably move to cars at some point.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LKW-Maut
