Starting Issue

  1. Hi. I've just tried to start my monster 1200s the lights on display are flashing and there's a clicking noise but nothing else. Is this a battery problem. New to Ducatis so through the ask first.

  2. Very likely. Easy way to find out. Measure battery voltage or just put battery on charge.

  3. Sounds like a flat battery. The clicking is the starter relay, not enough juice to fire it up. Recharge the battery first then;
    1. How old is the battery?
    2. How long has it been standing since last used?
    3. Do you use a trickle charger? (Optimate is best).

    Let’s go from there.

  4. Thanks for the advice. I've found out why battery died I'd left bike in park. Battery now charged and all is well.
