As Matt (the other one) stated within the thread, there is one already a suitable thread running within the clothing section. I contacted to the member who started the post and explained my actions.
Which is part of my job, so for that I can only apologise  I wasn't aware of the previous thread. Again, my apologies
Over moderation I think, you'll put people off starting new threads, or worse, people will hijack other people's threads over similar matters
But there's ways and means of how it's done. If it's overtly done and it's overly moderated then you will drive users away to more "fun loving" environments. Just my opinion of course
Fair point to make, but there is certain amount that I have been asked specifically to do. I do as a matter of course try to contact people whose threads/posts I've altered explaining why. There have been a few exceptions where I havent contacted people for mainly time reasons. The highjacking of threads is something else, but I have noticed they tend to get back on track without the real need to jump in. Again, there will be exceptions Yes there are indeed. You can never keep everybody happy, but I do try my best. There is so much more I could and indded probably should do and I'm always open to suggestions to improving things. I try to be open with what I'm doing and I don't have a secret agenda  I'm just trying to keep things tidy. For that 1% of users I upset, you have my deepest apologies
