New To Ducati

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Big Planet small World, Jul 12, 2019.

  1. Hi and thanks for adding me to the forum.
I was a confirmed Honda rider until being given a Multistrada while my bike was in for a service and wow !
I didn't have the budget for the DVT model but have managed to find a low mileage older model, after a test ride and paid deposit I pick it up Tuesday.

This weekend will be the longest on record for me, roll on Tuesday.

  10. Well enjoy the waiting....

Which year / model did you buy ?

Ive also recently moved from Honda to my first Ducati and I have to say... its been so much more fun.... I probably should have done this years ago.

This forum has some really nice helpful and friendly people hanging around, so if you have questions many can help.
    Welcome :upyeah:

  11. Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have gone for a 2011 plate 1200S the clincher was it only has 8,500 miles on it that's less than half what I have put on the Honda in 3 years. I have found a local mechanic who race's Ducati's and he is going to give it a once over so I can get the shop to do anything that needs doing in the warranty period. After that I'll get the belts done for safety sake and I reckon I've hopefully got a year's biking before the 15,000 mile service which I believe is a big one.
