Right now, Brexiters won't accept anything less than NO DEAL (which is expected to be very disruptive and damaging).

On the brexit side the ask was as per the vote, leave the eu. That meant all of it's organisations, rules and laws. If I have a cup of tea with a tea bag, at some point the tea bag leaves, in your scenario, the tea bag remaining in the mug, is leaving. All throughout the campaign both sides put their points of view over that came down to the vote when people went into vote, so no matter how much you want to beat yourself up about a result you cannot change, it won't change a thing.

In the early stages people also suggested we could do a deal as you know but it was the eu that put the kybosh on that In the early days of campaigning, the remain side said it could get better terms by, and you may remember this "Staying in and changing the eu from within and yet, did they ? no. All the way through this, the extreme remainers have continued to never look beyond their own nose and acknowledge the eu has said all the way through, our deal or no deal.
