Refurbishing Fork Sliders/outers

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by West Cork Paul, Jul 15, 2019.

  1. Can anyone help with some pointers as to the best way (or someone who can) refurbish this please?

It's a MY99 748. IMO there was a stone chip which has long since corroded lifting the anodising on the outer casing. Due to the ribbed nature of the material I can't simply rub it down and have it re-coated.

    TIA.

  2. I know Kais suspension would strip and re anodise them for you. They offered me this when I took a pair of Showa forks to them for a service.

  6. get it done before October just in case. Most suspension shops seem to offer the service for around £150 ?
