  1. I'm afraid I won't be. If it's wet il be spectating.

  2. I wouldn't be out either. Fuck that, my bike would get dirty and wet

In fact had I made home in time, I'd have saved 150 quids worth of diesel by not going at all. Bah!

  3. I'll be riding to the track on nearly new Supercorsas....I think I'll stay in the pits unless its dry! I'll be cheering you on though if its wet!

If my memory serves me correct, Silverstone and rain don't go well together, does anyone know if there's been any improvements since the recent resurfacing? Anyone ridden on the new surface yet? ...or are we the guinea pigs..?!

  4. I'm in the same boat, and have got a couple of hour ride there tomorrow night so keeping a keen eye before I decide what to do...... I rode the new surface last tuesday and we had proper good weather 32 degrees and sunny!! track is good (in the dry) but still quite bumpy on the end of the straight leading into brooklands....

  5. There has been an F1 weekend and at least 1 bike track day that I know of. Daniel Ricciardo said it's still bumpy in places that the MotoGP boys won't like but I've seen no social media posts from anyone else. Surely they couldn't get it wrong twice ? Andy

  6. It’s the drainage not the bumpiness that caused the non-event tho.

  7. Dear Rider

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Ducati Track Day at Silverstone run by the California Superbike School on Wednesday 31st July 2019. We are running out of the National Garages for the day but as you have been advised will be riding on the full Silverstone circuit, so please follow the signs accordingly.

We have listed below some last-minute reminders to help your Ducati Track Day experience run smoothly:

Registration is from 7.00am closing at 7.45am so please ensure you arrive in good time.

You will be greeted by our staff who will tell you which colour group you will be in for the day and in which garage you will be located. Then you will be directed to registration so please look out for the group colours at sign on and register in your group. Our team will issue you with your timing lanyard and documents for the day.

Please remember your driving licence, completed riding indemnity and kit hire forms as these will all be checked at registration. You can then sit back and relax before we kick off with the safety briefing at 8.00am (Advanced and Intermediate) and approximately 8.30am (Novice). Unfortunately, failure to attend the Safety Briefing will mean you won’t be allowed out on track.

Complimentary refreshments (tea/coffee) are being provided for you throughout the day along with breakfast (between 7.30-9.00am) and a formal lunch break will occur between 12.45pm and 1.45pm with lunch being available just prior and during that time. A local fuel station is in the paddock area at the circuit, just behind the café, where you can refuel at any time through use of the unmanned credit card operated pumps.

Please take time to visit our Shop located in garages 5a-5c where you will find a host of exciting Ducati products. There's all sorts of exciting new products for 2019 so have a browse and a feel of the merchandise! Cash and all major credit/debit cards are accepted.

  10. Fail. Sucks doesn’t it. Sounds like you won’t even be getting laid either!

  11. Timing lanyards hey....are they policing the group's now then?

  12. Nah, that'll be the little plastic coated bit of paper with the schedule on it. Andy

  13. I’m more or less packed. Will ride to work in the rain. And then will ride airb&b in rain and thunder (according to forecast). Not good.

  14. Only just booked on, wondering if I’ve made a huge mistake. :worried::worried:

  15. Doubt it. I'll either be on a plane or loafing round an airport. I'd get arrested!

  16. Forecast looking good now :)

  17. Well, as forecast, it's raining heavily now where I am :( Had hoped to get the bike loaded in the dry but clearly missed the boat, no pun intended. Andy

  18. Lucky so and so... "loading the bikes". Looks like I'm riding from Southampton to silverstone in the peeing rain!
