Filling my tank the other day and I got the same. They soon changed the attitude when I turned the turret in their direction.
I always get off the bike and take my helmet off, good to get some air, especially when warm which is when I like to ride. But I guess I am polite natured anyway, unlike most of you grumpy winging old fekkers
I was trying to get you guys to see from a cashier view not from a hereford point of view We know we are harmless the majority of bikers are but.... the general public/cashiers don’t know that so you can be asked politely to remove your helmet Wether you do or dont is up to you. You may well be declined fuel As far as I am aware it’s not a law it’s a polite request There will always be those of you who won’t take off their helmet and ride off or those who will happily take off their helmet A bit like those of us who will happily serve you with a helmet on or won’t serve you unless you take it off As far as I am aware and for my information I cannot ask you to take off religious headgear
That includes vapes I got told I was an idiot asking a customer not to use it on the forecourt Anyway @PaulPhillips took his helmet off with no problems
DB,The paying public just want a level playing field with one rule enforced, all headgear Removed or Not,it's that simple
Have you ever met anyone that's happened to? I can think of a lot more likely injuries that can arise from motorcycling.
It happens all the time Up to you if your happy to go up in flames Vapours are more flammable then the petrol it’s self So it could arise that static from your clothes are enough to spark the vapours Your risk
Makes perfect sense to me to take it off. Many people have an issue with the Muslim headware because along with the Indian turban, it is outside of the other laws but it is hard to argue that Muslims should remove their head gear when teaching our children or at the doctors or in court etc, if bikers refuse to do the same. Hey it’s just my opinion & for me, it just seems polite to take my lid off, always have done.
Yes really!! Vapours can hang around so.... you sit on bike fill up the vapours collect around you Should a spark be near by you may just have toasted nuts Vapours from petrol go to the lowest ground and they hang around for a while Forecourts are very dangerous places We manage and minimise risks
DB,Sounds like you know your onions girl & that comprehensive training programme is paying out dividends
