We've just had a new garage installed, and decided against the extortionate price for their security pack in favour of sourcing our own secure lock. This is proving to be easier said than done, and there doesn't seem to be much choice other than a classic hasp-and-padlock. Current thinking is one of these. Anyone got recommendations/advice for a decent system?
That is a waste of time & you'll need to up your game with this one,I've one in use and it saves on the removing the padlock everytime when accessing but remember to use nut & bolt fastners. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-50mm-L...181445&hash=item36515d0136:g:AMQAAOSwkbpa9Rcd
Is that your garage ? I could be wrong but looking at your hinges all I’d need is a screw driver to get in, unless the hinges are bolted not screwed on.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the best padlock in the world isn’t going to be much use with those hinges
Don’t want to worry you, but reflected in the window you can see a very dodgy looking geeza casing it!
That set up will keep the kids out but not the big lads. But to be fair nothing will keep out the pros. A big horrible fucking dog helps Nice garage btw
Have you seen that the Police now use chainsaws on reinforced UPVc front doors when they withstand the little red key and the big one!
Thanks. It's a 5 x 3m unit with a partition, as there's a storage shed at the back. We paid about £11K, plus about £800 for the cement slab I think. That included a very expensive (IMHO) spray paint job, which we're in mid-dispute with the suppliers about. It was still tacky when it was packaged for delivery (and installed), so it was covered in blemishes. They sent a decorator out to rectify, but he's just made things worse by rollering and brushing, leaving a horribly textured surface. Looks fine from a distance mind.
Facing the same dilemma i went with big galvanised bars right across the doors, fixings bolted through the building frame. I felt this was the best solution for a wooden building. Reasonably priced too eg : https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/152678720046 Steve
Pictures look good, that's a good price for concrete slab I had to build my shed on slabs due to the cost of concrete (only bike and lawnmower so no real need for concrete). Kick up feck about the paint job, I painted mine with a brush and it looks fine but certainly not spray quality, you want the cost of spraying refunded and offset with the cost of a painter for a day (that's all it would take)
