Dvd To Android

  1. Hi, My father in law has loads of DVD's (country music) and asked me if they can be downloaded/played on a tablet.

They are in MPEG 1/2 format, can these be copied onto a micro sd card a played on a Samsung tablet, or will they need to be changed to other format??

Sorry not very savvy with this kind of stuff.

  2. You can put all your Cds & Dvds into itunes last time I used it. Its a fair amount of work adding titles etc, but...

  3. Will itunes work on a Samsung ?!?!?

  4. You should find that VLC will play these on your Samsung. You should just be able to drop them onto the SD card and use VLC to play them.

  5. Cheers, wanted to check before spending on a new tablet.

  6. Make sure the tablet has a slot for an SD card as a lot of the newer ones don't. Also check on the version of Android installed as more and more apps like to run on the newer/newest versions. For what you describe though you should be fine.

    Good luck!

  7. Been donkeys since I copied the contents of a dvd, you may find there are lots of files, your better off hunting for some software that will rip a dvd to mp4 avi etc.

  8. Handbrake still does reasonable service on a Mac for this.

  9. I use software called handbrake to convert DVD’s to whatever.
Pretty easy to use but does take a while.

  10. You can also rip them off YouTube which is quicker than the original cd - of course you wouldn't copy anything you didn't already own

  11. I also use handbrake, although it's much quicker to just download it. I used to use VLC to play them but now use NPlayer but they're all much of a muchness.
