  3. Well, it wasn't my fault really, I was supervising her in doors as she was mowing the lawn [which is about 60 feet long] no probs. I made us a cup o tea and a coffee and all was Coolio. I'm sitting on the patio directing her up and down to make sure the stripy lines are even [ standards you know], when, on the away run from me she run over the cable....Needless to say the mower was dead [just like the parrot in Monty Python]. No problem, "come and sip your tea" says I and I will mend it. Well, I can't find a joining plug and NO electrical tape. BUGGER, the lawn aint finished so I improvise. I shut down the power, twist the wires together and say " As long as you keep the Earth wire apart from the other two, it's OK to hold the wires between your fingers. SO, she finished the away run sweet as a nut but halfway down on the return run I saw her hair suddenly go frizzy and thought to my self "Summit aint right". I think the mistake I made was asking if the mower was OK. So if you knows of a good gardener I might be in the market. PS.. If not in the dog house... :worried:

  5. She should have kept the live & neutral apart as well, not touched both at the same time AND kept her feet off the ground. Silly woman! Honestly, sometimes they can’t even do a simple task like cut the grass.

How was your coffee by the way? :)

  7. +1 for B+S, had a Stiga ride on years ago - came free with house :upyeah: - added a front snow plough and had great fun at shoving snow for the hell of it. Never serviced for 4 seasons.
Currently got Husky ride on which came cheap with another house added tow along hoover to collect grass, had it for 6 seasons and only hoovered the air filter to stop it hunting off load - can't beat B+S

  9. Indeed, but one has to navigate ones own estate with it.....
If I'd have been buying it would have been 10 year old push along from Gumtree :p

  10. A few ewes at about £55 a head, plus an electric fence to manage which pasture they are use would be economic.

May take a while to train them to work back and fore in unison to get the stripes though.
