Hi. I’ve recently bought a Monster 821 that had a Ducati quick shifter installed. The first couple of outings it was working perfectly. Very smooth on the upshifts. Was great not having to let the throttle go or pull the clutch in when I was giving it the beans. However it’s now stopped working. When you try to upshift without pulling the clutch in, the gearstick doesn’t want to select another gear. The clutch has to be pulled in for it to select another gear. It’s still showing on the screen (DQS U/D) Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Is there a way to reset it ? Cheers
Thanks for getting back to me. Although I’m not sure how that would affect the DQS. The clutch shouldn’t have to be pulled in for the DQS to work, I was under the impression the clutch switch was for starting the bike in gear. I could be wrong though so I will have a look into it
If the clutch lever is pulled it disengages the DQS for a manual shift. So if the switch isn't connecting the DQS remains off.
