Just want to thank everyone who has over time contributed to the information on this forum enabling cam belt changes to be carried out at the 'home garage'. I've recently done a cam belt change on my '06 999S using the Frequency Analyser/Microphone method of belt tensioning I learned on this forum. Not only has this saved me money but it was very satisfying to do this at home without all the hassle of using a dealer. Thanks Alan
Interested to know what software you used, and did you use a 26mm ring spanner to hold the cam tensioning pulley nut, or did you improvise?
I seem to recall it was the same one that you used with a French title. Yes, I improvised, having found that using an adjustable spanner as per the YouTube vid worked fine for me and the pulley didn't move when doing the final tightening of the lock nut.
