It was on Gumtree for sale in Hammersmith. Been there 4 days when I spotted it this morning. I told a mate about it who's looking for something a bit special but it's gone tonight. So does anyone on here have something they want to tell us? It had been kept indoors so probably no service history but still about half price. Now I've read up on them a bit I wish I'dve made a move on it :frown:.
Gumtree Hmmmmm, I was on an Aprilia forum last year when someone's stolen Aprilia ended up on there for sale. Another Forum member went to look at the bike (unknown to be stolen at the time) and then returned to post some questions about the bike. It then emerged that the bike had been stolen from a forum member. Police involved etc etc..... Fake plates blah blah and the guy was a well known thief who had 6 other bikes listed for sale. My mate at work almost bought one last week from Gumtree when the seller said he had just sent the V5 off for a numberplate change and would he be prepared to have it posted to him......So many scammers
Yeah I bid on and bought a further 2006 999R on the bay . I never sent the money of course . you just couldnt buy a 2006 999R in 2008 for £6700 . After I informed the bay that the seller had asked me to pay 4k into some no-check account they decided it was a con. I arranged to meet said seller but he refrained from turning up or ever contacting me again. The bike by the way was, I think, no. 72 2006 999R cant quite remember . As my own is no.71 which I thought was ironic .
