Van is running well, done some miles 230,000, mot comes on Monday so will be full test next week, had a full service history with the company that owned the van before me, in my ownership I have tried to have a service or oil and filter/air filter every 10,000 miles sometimes a bit over but understand these are on ridiculous long service intervals A few battle scars from a well worked life, I have added 70,000 miles in 20 odd months, has had a remap so pulls well, is good on fuel for its size £90 will get you 400 miles at 60 mph my favourite speed. Bad points Got a small chip on the windscreen in Germany the other day Quick gear changes can result in a bit of a crunch in second Couple of small leaks in the box in very bad weather so sealant required Dash light is on, no fault has been found despite it been checked, everything runs fine I’ll add to this advert later I’m looking for another van same type but lower mileage and euro 6, I do have a job to Spain on the 20th March loading on the 14th £6395 Significantly more on eBay
Well it’s difficult to be honest, vans are expensive but yes trying to improve the van, Euro 6 is the way it’s going, but that’s not essential just yet....I’d like a newer lower mileage van also a better payload ideally
Ok so the latest news is the crunching in second gear etc has resulted in me putting in to get checked out and lo behold I now have a rebuilt gearbox, new clutch, and a new duel mass flywheel....I’m in Spain next week so just wanted to be sure it’s right, as far as a sale goes well see how it goes for nothing but in alll honesty vans are not coming for sale at anywhere near affordable money, so yes for sale but I need to go straight into another van, highly unlikely it will sell on here though I know that.
