British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. but perhaps after twenty years he will finally get an elected MP?
    get, not become.

  4. Sadly i think you are wrong, it will be forgotten and forgiven.

  5. Faced with the alternatives of anger/ bitterness for a lifetime, forgive & forget does have a certain appeal!

  6. You haven't forgotten we are talking about the Tories have you :)

  9. Well the MSN (mainly sky at the moment) are getting in the remainer digs already, suggesting Farage has bottled it etc etc

To be honest I can't see any brexit voter falling for that, ultimately he's standing to ensure some seats, he'll then prop up the Conservatives in the HOC and have a seat at the table

All of a sudden having an alliance is wrong (Tory and BP).....interesting

yet a week or so ago an alliance was smart, clever and 'a way to game the system' when it was the Lib Dems etc

    Same story, different angle.

    Funny that eh ;)

  10. Its only Farage "bottling" again. He has always been all talk and no trousers. I think of him like ketchup on chips. Colourful, adds something but no real substance.

  11. Who Anne Widdecombe?

  12. Another thing to note is since Farage made his statement the GBP has improved against the euro and usd

Now that could be other factors I admit, or simply the point that most businesses just want this done, with a plan laid out already in a WA they get that with a Tory & TBP alliance.

Corbyn doesn't bring anything to a head and actually makes it worse by offering further months of nothing specific

  13. I don't suppose it matters who's there, farage is the top boy so whatever works for them I guess.

The points still the same, an alliance a week ago was good, now apparently alliances are bad.

    Just the way it goes

  14. If Farage isn't in the HoC, he will have little imput and no say imo.

An "Alliance" isn't necessarily a bad thing, not last week nor today. Blojob says there isn't one, and I still don't see BP winning enough seats to change that.

  15. I think we're both worldly enough to know immediately that you don't need to be sat in the HOC to have huge influence, Farage isn't a silly man, neither you nor I may not be particularly fond of him but that doesn't make him stupid.

He'll have influence I guarantee it, and at this moment in time that's enough for him.

  17. I think you are going to be surprised if you believe he will have a voice. His party are polling less than UKIP and we all know how that went.

I do agree he isn't stupid, I think he knows all of this and is bowing out.
