Who's Done Jerez??

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Mary Hinge, Nov 13, 2019.

  1. Fantastic circuit - A few more pronounced elevation changes would push it towrds perfect. You are gonna love it

My favourite corner is the fast right hander leading onto the back straight - Get committed and get that right and the speed carries all the wat down the straight.

  2. we go with PaceDayz. Best events I’ve ever done. Be warned though the fast group @jerez on one of their gigs is like entering European superstock haha. It’s mega ! I’ve been on much slower acu test days !

Even inters is race pace at times

  7. Aye, that's a pro. I'll be more than happy with a 1.54 :) Doubt it'll happen though, weather looks shit

  8. In that case I’ll be happy with a 1:53?

  9. to be fair l, Al was a pro at one point. 1:52 is shifting on a road bike! Laverty managed a 1:49 from memory on Daves race s1000. Granted it wasn’t set up for him, but that’s still slicks etc

  10. Ha, wake up Rob- it's time for work....

  11. And I think BVG (44 Teeth) cracked 1.50 on his HP4 Race. I'll have to remember not to try that....

  12. Anything’s possible on the Bavarian beauty

  13. a 1:49 also if my memory serves me right :)

  15. Jerez is mega. Very fast and flowing apart from the last turn before the start/finish where Rossi ‘overtook’ Gibernau in 2005. The previous turns (11 and 12) are fearsome fast. The massive gravel trap always grabbed my attention. Spike Edwards does a good circuit guide. Well worth paying a few quid to understand how it should be done.

  16. I bought his Alcarras guide, and seen his Cartagena guide. I can’t get on with them

  17. Yeah, I got his Donington guide. Too much screaming engine noise... Didn’t bother much with it...

  18. It's a mega track. Easily the best track I've ever ridden, and I've only ridden it in the wet (We went last Nov)
Here's an onboard from there, and skip to 2:50 to see how not to apply throttle at lean on rain tyres :)

I'm back there with NL in a couple of weeks, and really hoping it's gonna be dry this time
