Hi, thinking of buying a front mudguard made of carbon but has been painted, can the paint be removed successfully or should I leave it alone. Thanks Steve
Wondering why someone would paint a carbon mudguard?....... Hiding something maybe? If it was me, I wouldn't use stripper, I would flat it back with wet &dry then relaquer the carbon.
The 999R comes with a painted mudguard . Using a chemical to strip paint from carbon will more than likely end in disaster . The chemical wont know the difference between the carbon binder and paint. You could blast it off with a fine aggregate but it would probably not be worth it.
Yeah, rub it down with wet and dry then relaquer,as has been said.Wont take too long.Something to do while this drought is on anyway.
