Hi, Looking for a rear, single sided paddock stand for a 2008 848 (21.7mm?). If anyone can help it may save me taking another mortgage! I'm located in the East Midlands. Or if anyone knows who sells new ones at a reasonable price any help/advice would be appreciated. Cheers, RoadRunner (newbie)
Good morning road runner. I have a genuine Ducati rear paddock stand for a 848. Not sure on pin size, I can measure it later today. Also some other bits, leavers, plastics and rear sets of your interested?.
Hi Pete, yes - interested certainly as long as price is reasonable. Currently at work, home at 7.30pm but I am interested. Cheers Roger.
Evening Pete, Back on a proper computer rather using my mobile at work. If you want to list the 848 parts you have that would be handy. I actually get the bike this Thursday which I am really looking forward to. Did you track you 848 or just fancy the race position for the road with the rear sets? Anything I should be aware of with a 848? From you user name I'm guessing you reside somewhere near Pendle? I've run the Pendle fell race a couple of years ago! Anyway, let me know parts and prices please. Cheers RoadRunner
Thanks andyb, As you may have guessed I'm new to the Duc scene but willing to learn! I’ve learnt all about BSA A7/10 plungers having built one, but Ducati's are new territory for me. But "You don't know, what you don't know!" Thank you for the info. Cheers R/R.
in fact across many stand manufacturers the stand is the same just the interchangeable pin size... searching for one listed for a 748 998 996 will help perhaps
Much appreciated Pete - no rush as I should get the bike Thursday but also working shifts so..... cheers R/R
Nothing to do with me but this might do. Looks like it is a “small pin” stand with a sleeve to make it fit 1098/1*99 etc. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-R...831393?hash=item2f380ce261:g:jFoAAOSwYsJdrBmP
Cheers RickyX, I'll have a gleg; the genuine Ducati stands are just sooooo expensive and there's even less to them than aftermarket stands! Thanks for the heads up. RR
Hi Evo, Sounds interesting - it is a genuine Ducati stand? I did buy an after market one, 2nd hand, but it throws the bike to one side a little too much for my liking! You're located in the Manchester area? South or North? I'm in Derby, not too far away so collection is possible. Please P/message me the details (cost and a pic?) Many thanks RR
I shall this eve for you, this one is braced, it keeps the bike upright, dont thinks its a genuine, what really nice as it has a clamp option so no risk of it sliding off the pin
