Lorenzo Offered A Testing Role In 2020

  1. How come it’s a bad move for Jlo but a good one for Honda and Pedrosa? What about Stoner!

  2. If they take his advice after testing, would they then re design a nice shaped petrol tank? Just asking for an ex Motogp rider ....

Being serious, I would prefer to see new, young talent on track. Not look at ways of keeping/returning the elderly and infirm to the paddock. No matter how good they were. New blood please.

  3. I think stuff like this can help younger riders tho. The old timers know how to go fast, how to set up a bike, what changes mean what difference. Imagine youngsters jumping on a bike that is great from the go. You don’t need to. Look at the petronas lads. Allegedly they hardly make any changes, certainly nothing big, as the bike has years on Rossi, Jlo, Vinales setting them up.

  4. Agreed. I just don't see benefit to the sport in him returning to racing.

  5. Agree I don’t think he will. Same reason Rossi should retire

  6. Don't beat around the bush fella. If you don't like Jorge just say so.
As I recall a lot of people said he could never adapt his style to suite the Duke, and then had to shut up when he started winning on it. As for sitting around sulking in the rain, Ive never seen him do that. He went out and raced anyway.

  7. Lorenzo like him or not is an insanely talented rider. Still better than a vast amount of the motogp grid on a machine that’s working with him. Those saying he’s slow are deluded. He is far from slow. When Ducati finally gave him the tank extension he went very, very fast. But the Ducati like the Honda, was not the bike for him.

He needs everything to be perfect, when it is - he’s golden.

Someone with his pace and experience is hard to come by as a test rider... however if he develops a bike he likes.. it may or may not work for other riders!

  8. The trick will be finding the riders it does. As they have (mostly) so far on the Yams.

  9. yeah, for sure. The yam needs work though! It’s been struggling for some time.

The Honda situation worked very well for Marquez as stoner and Marquez have similar ish riding styles.

  10. Only in top end speed. If they fix that, the rest wont work. Another reason why Jlo would be a useful addition
