hey yoal, im thinking of selling the lil 800 scrambler. its got just under 7k on it and is pretty mint. bought this off nelly from cornerspeed last year so I (well my brother) is the second owner. apart from using it on my epic Europe adventure (some of you may recall this) it doesn't get used at all really. think ive done a few hundred miles in the last 6 months. it has upgraded suspension @nelly can you confirm the spec? I think its k tech internals on the front and bullet rear shock (from k tech?) . my bro paid 5,600 quid at the time and it was/ still is like new (apart from the milage). I believe it has another 6 months ish of the ducati extended warranty left but will have to go through the paper work. In the time I have had it its not missed a beat and rides like a new bike. ive added givi paniers to it (330 quids worth) (although one has a hole about the size of a tennis ball in it so will need replacing!) a pug screen *must have for the longer trip (90 quid) and a bike track system (300 quid) it has the as new original rear shock as well. put bt30 evos on it whilst in Italy and done about 2k on em but from my previous experience of these tyres (run them on my 748) id say you've got another good 5k at least on em to go. im thinking 5k is the money.. think with the upgrades and relatively low mileage its a good deal (compared to what ive seen on ebay and what not) . the mot has a few months left but will get a new one when a deal is done so as to give new owner the full 12 months. bad points. there just isn't any really! the end of the clutch lever is missing due to it falling over when parked on the side of the road, (no other damage was done as it the panier kept it offa the deck) but if the right deal is made I can get a new one. also the center strip on the tank (black glossy plastic) has minor marks from me swinging my leg over in an odd fashion when it had a bag strapped to the pillion seat. unfortunately im unable to upload pics at the min but will make that happen soon. right now I just thought id pop the add up and gauge interest. not desperate to sell but would like to free money up to get my track bike and 748 sorted for summer. open to sensible offers and happy to answer any questions (as long as they relate to the bike!) this bike is a lil gem and I doubt you would find an as clean example anywhere. located in west London and i can be home most weekends if anyone wants to come and view/have a cuppa and talk bikes.
16 plate icon RED with just shy of 7k on the clock.. it really is a lil peach of a bike and is a faultless runner.
if you want to bring ya bud over at any point give me a shout, even if just to chat bikes, I have a few in the shed he can sit on and gauge the difference in models before he makes his mind up. hell, there is even 2 Harleys in there!!! (not mine)
Cheers pal. He is after some kind of scrambler to ease himself back in to biking. TBH I think he is after a Triumph but yours might suit. I’ve let him know about yours and if he is interested I will sort out with you.
cool man.. always nice to deal with people you know. pretty much the whole history of this bike is available on my Europe trip thread so nothing to hide at all..
I just had visions of Kathy bates in misery not letting @Expat Jack and his mate leave after your got them There lol
Bike has K-Tech suspension back and front. Bullit shock on rear and Tracker fork kit. Front end is now adjustable for damping and preload. Transformed the forks. Rear shock is a gas shock. Unique to K-Tech and worked really well.
cheers Neil. there ya go folks! this bike is special!!! seriously though thanks @nelly . this lil scrambler is well set up and I think youd have to spend a few quid to get one where this is at suspension wise.
^ Reminds me of our last holiday in Spain. We nicknamed the waitress Kathy Bates. She was that scary. Chiz. Your thread is going awol
na, its all good thanks mate.. I think the fluff gives a reflection of the last owner... wait.. yea delete it all!!! no all good ET
