I've just been removing the front wheel to have a new tyre fitted and noticed the front pads are about 2/3rds worn. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for replacement pads - I'm mainly wondering whether to try and alternative brand or stick with OEM. Thanks in advance! Nik
On my 2015 DVT I fitted a set of EBC HH pads. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-1...170487&hash=item5456b33705:g:09MAAOSwaA5Wjlm0 They work very well, a little more sharp than OEM.
Funnily enough I used to swear by HH pads, although found them to be slightly more noisy and more abrasive than OEM. They're certainly a bit cheaper. I'm tempted to put a set in and see if I like them.
Recommendations work both ways. I would recommend you don’t fit Brembo Motorcycle SC Sintered Track & Road Brake Pads i did thinking they might give a little more stopping power, opposite result..
Brembo have a 'configurator' on their site where you put in the details of your bike and it gives the options http://moto.brembo.com/en I've found Carpi Moto to be good value in the past for brake parts https://www.carpimoto.it/en-GB/Brand_Brembo/Brakes/Brake-Pads/
I'm assuming I have originals in mine at under 10k miles, could definitely be a bit more bitey, so watching this thread with interest.
I’ve tried OE, EBC Double H Brake Pads - FA606HH & EBC Semi-Sintered Touring V Brake Pads - FA244V Not that they were terrible, but I won’t buy the ‘Touring pads’ again! I just thought I’d try them to see if they would be much different or if a brake pad was just a brake pad. Prefer the initial feel of the Double H’s
