Rear pegs sf848

  1. Has anyone removed the rear foot pegs? Any tips would be most welcome, I've just spent circa 1 hour removing the left side!!! I removed the seat and side panel to improve access... I'm dreading the other side, essentially I'm adding the Evotech Exhaust Hanger- any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks

  2. Yup - ball ache but dooable with the correct tool

  3. Thanks Char, stupid question, however, here we go- what tool would you recommend ? I've simply used a variety of Allen keys, wondering if I'm missing something and perhaps there is an alternative tool. As you may have deduced from the posts, I'm rather inept - mechanically! By the way I like your Rearsets I gather from Germany? Would you rate them char?

  4. Bent spanner and Allen keys and one of my kids small hands (still attached)

Just a bit of a faff

Rearsers are Mettise and I put the Rizoma bars on - hated the stock silver ones

  5. I did the very same job a few weeks ago, I just kept going until i got it done.

I got the impression the 1st thing fitted to the bike in the factory were the rear foot rest hangars and everything else was added afterwards !

I just used a combination of sockets, spanners and allen keys (which I seem to remember only being able to get about 1/16 of a turn on at a time). I removed the seat pad and part of the under tray, but left the seat unit on.

Oh, I have hands like a navvy and fingers like sausages. I shou;d have "PORK" and "BEEF" tattoo'd on my knuckles
