I've been bought a Fitbit by the other side as part of the rehab deal. My first impression is that it is rather crap! You need the app to do anything and it seems that the only place that it can be found is the Microsoft Store -where it doesn't download from. I had to try and change the bigger wristband they enclose (as it's only for girls really) and that resulted in pins springing out. So now I have just got the unit with no wrist strap on. So the pp doesn't download from the Microsoft store and the wrist strap is off. I'll leave it until my physio comes and then drop it in the bin. Anyone else had any success with this overpriced piece of garbage?
Love Fitbit. Best product of its type by far. I bought Apple Watch only because of ECG: otherwise wouldn’t have bothered. If app isnt loading, its your phone. Suggest you make sure the OS is up to date, as they can be sensitive... Otherwise, you can use with a laptop. (Unless thats the app you I are talking a bout.). You can log in and set up viola a browser, which is what I have done on both my wife’s Vario windows laptop and my apple one.
Shite, get a garmin. We cover at least 30 mile a week for work. Every man uses garmin or sunto. There's a Reason why the top Blokes in black get issued it.
I've trained all my adult life. So much data shite on the market now. The only data I subscribe to is heart rate zones for a given time. You can ram the rest. And I've no earthly idea what the fek a 'fit bit' is. Thought it was a smart bird.
My Mrs and both kids have fitbits, all different models and all work fine with either the two android based phones the Mrs and eldest have or the ipad mini my little one has. I use the Apple Watch, again works great but only with the iPhone. Tbh since the kids had them at Christmas it's encouraged family competition for daily steps or distance, and that can only be a good thing right. Are you using an android phone or iPhone? When you get the app downloaded you'll want to update the fitbit immediately as it's guaranteed to be running slightly out of date software even if new
I have a Fitbit Versa 2 and that works fine, I had the original Charge model for 41/2 Years and that always worked fine for me as well. Never had a problem with the App on any device be it iPhone or laptop. I did have a problem with the Microsoft store once though and that was only fixed when there was a major upgrade in Windows 10 some time back. I couldn't connect at all or download any apps.
My friend has a fit bit she changed her phone from Apple to android and it doesn’t work as well on android it’s hit and miss so she is considering moving back to Apple
My Fitbit works fine both standalone and via the iPhone app. The only issue is with the original strap that fell apart and had to be replaced with an aftermarket one that cost a fiver or so on eBay.
Still use my polar rc3gps. Brilliant watch and quite old now but better than a lot of the app based shite on the market cos when I run I don’t want my phone with me
With a Fitbit at least, you don’t need your phone with you. You just use the app to download data from the watch at your leisure.
So what you're saying is, no matter why sort of fitness smart watch you get, Beijing will know what you get up to?
I have got the strap sorted out and now have it on. Given up with Windows - Microsoft really need to get with the program! Got the app on my android devices and it works - but not that well! I did 29 steps whilst lying in bed and another 17 sitting drinking Coffee, whilst a mate came round! My physio wanted me to have it to stop me from sitting too much and giving me reminders to move. I don't have to lie to my physio as this thing does it for me!
Windows phones were ace, due to the integration of OneDrive ... but Windows phones are horrible because they really are the worst.
