My Hyper has been off the road now for 2 weeks - started as a routine service + MOT, bike has done 12,700 miles: new belts required, valve clearance check with 6 out of 8 needing new shims, rear bearings need replacing, new head gasket - the list goes on, see picture below. After 4 years of the Hyper should I have done a part exchange on a Multi? Don't panic I'm not going to, I'm just very frustrated at the moment. Actually the Pikes Peak Special does appeal..... anyone made the switch, regrets.....?
Yep, I made the switch in 2012. Definitely no regrets. Although there have been a few warranty issues, these were fixed by 1 of the dealers. The Multy is more for touring or long ride outs, where the Hyper is for short fun runs on the B Roads and twisties.
