Bought my Duke just before Christmas and today was my first ride on it. Freezing cold but sunny so off I went with my mate on his Z900RS. Glad of the Ducati heated grips! I have a 1999 Triumph Daytona and this is totally different. Light, nimble, about the same amount of power but this has more torque. Too much info on the clocks but that can be ignored. I don’t have the S but the previous owner has fitted a quick shifter, it’s brilliant. Really happy with the bike, it’s my first Ducati and loving it, bike was absolutely filthy when I got home so a good clean was in order. Hope next weekend is dry too.
Well, as it was a sunny day today I managed to get out for my second ride. Have to say I love this bike and I think I’ve fallen in love with ridding again. It’s so easy to ride, light and nimble, very good brakes, I like how it pops and farts on over run. Again, the quickshifter is ace, not sure about the down shifts with it but certainly upshifts. Should’ve bought a Duke years ago.
Been out for a cracking ride over towards Aberystwyth with a couple of mates. Loads of bikes out. Caught myself out a couple of times though by going to fast into some bends which tightened up, also some of the road surfaces mid bend were very bumpy. I suppose it’s good to scare yourself from time to time?
