  1. As I'm now on the list:upyeah:(cheers Paul). I will be using the Panzer to travel there. So if anyone wants to throw some luggage on my GS I'm happy to lug it to the hotel for you if your short on space on your bike.
I'm traveling from the far East ( Yarco) and going via Dunstable, Oxford and Moreton in Marsh, ish. Happy to deviate slightly.
pm me so not to clog up this thread.
    Ta.

  2. For the multi and scrambler people it would be a fab thing to visit llanthoney abbey , it has a pub in the cellars , single track road for many miles, start point in hay on wye, Forrest road, go up to hay bluff, spectacular views , very remote valley, watch the horses, and sheep, then down to llanthony over Capel y fin, from the abbey travel onwards and then on the end of the valley take a right turn to get back to main road at Crickhowell , it’s beautiful but not for sports bikes

  4. you should try a head set to get nav instructions.. i like it. i have the nav mounted where i can see it and it is handy especially when approaching confusing road layouts, but i mostly just rely on the vocals .

  6. Little lady has the nav and the speakers in lid set up - so I end up following or little blast and wait ( if she’s in miss daisy mode ) which doesn’t happen that often

  7. I just tend to get lost TBH.

  8. i cant operate like that on a bike... in a car im not so bad, or didnt used to be, but on a bike, unless its a straight route will few turn offs id be fucked without a nav... on my europe trip, if my nav had let me down on arrival, i would have most likely spent the 6 weeks in the nearest pub and got a taxi back to the ferry....

  14. WHAT :astonished:?

    You never mentioned a Panzer:eek:.

What with you and @bradders and me on the DucatDoodlePug and who knows who will bring what else we might be the first Ducati Forum tour where there’s no Ducatis:eek:.

  15. Pardon?

Handy idea but don’t forget I wear hearing aids. I could get a satnav to stream direct to them as does my phone but then I’d have to have them turned on and at present I mute them when on the bike so they act as ear plugs so I don’t go deaf. If I had them turned on I would go deaf....... oh hang on, I am already deaf :astonished:

  16. complicated!

  17. Yep, bits of paper, Google maps on the iPhone and reading glasses it is:(.

Anyway, Wales isn't that big, we can't get that lost can we

  18. Just remember. ........keep on the path

  19. I would also include Llandovery to new bridge on wye via the Beulah road , from there to Rhayader from Rhayder to cross gates. From cross gates to newtown from newtown back to llangurig. From there you can pick up the Aberystwyth road . This route will miss all the coastal traffic from aberaeron to Aberystwyth. I would recommend this route as an alternative to going via Lampeter. Ps this route as it all and I mean all.
