Are we all OK ladies & gents? Seeing the news this morning of what it’s like back in Blighty I’m led to believe you’ve all been submerged. @portboy are you OK down there in South Wales? @apatchy you we’re worried about river levels yesterday, all ok?
It was wet and windy. That’s how it was described 30 years ago. Nowadays the media telegraph wet windy days as Armageddon.
Paul,my experience so far at this moment in time, just three/four little conifers,a christmas tree plus a unknown mature tree on the deck, but the ground has now reached saturation point, anymore coming wind & other trees will come down.
I look down on the river so it doesn't affect me, only good thing to come out of this, is I also look over the show ground which has been occupied by a band of travelers , thankfully the rising river level has moved them on, long may it continue!!! Steve
Yeah mighty fine thanks Paul, flooding at the lower end of our road poor bastards. More of a drainage issue rather than the river or rivers we have a confluence right opposite us it was ugly but kept below the defenses. Unfortunately a chap lost his life in the river yesterday, he went in a few miles upstream and was recovered ten miles downstream towards Swansea, don't know any details hasn't made the news. Thanks for your concern butty.
So the guy on Face Book called 'Storm Dennis' who got loads of complaints. when 'f' comes along his girlfriend will be getting some agro
We`re fine up north, still not big coat weather....... Not so sure the southerners are coping as well.
