Bought A New Bike: 998s 2002 And I Need Some Bits

  1. Hello fellow Ducatisti,

    I bought myself a 998s from 02.
    I’d like to make it bug standard and in need some parts.
    Here’s the list;

    Original brake disks front
    Original rims 5 spoke silver.
    Original heat shield exhaust alu.
    Original clutch cover silver
    Original windshield (clear)
    Original clip ons 2 bolt type. without handlebar
    Alu mono frame.pref complete
    Original clutch slave cilinder
    Original rear brake pump.

    that’s about it.

    Please let me know what you have and at what price.

  7. Looking great. Congratulations. You can still get the original clutch cover and gasket frim your dealer. Cover c£40. Gasket c£10.

  8. Think I've got a rear master cylinder some where and I've got some brake discs off my 996.
     
  9. They look like 998 discs to me.

    Will you be replacing the Final Edition seat unit?
     
  10. They are 998R disks, 15mm Offset due to the 1098 forks. The single unit will go if I can find a single 998 mono, the one with the “ducati superbike” sticker.

  12. Nothing, it’s a biposto and a like to have a alu mono subframe.

  13. Hi all,

    So after several weeks of sourcing all the original parts, selling the other bits, a good clean en some maintenance (oils, valves, belts etc) it’s finally ready for the season! I’m very pleased how it turned out. Just wanted to share it with you guys.

  14. put the side stand up mate, it looks untidy when on a paddock stand.
